Low to Moderate Income Set-Aside Program
The City of Evansdale is now accepting applications for its Homeowner Repair Program through the Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Low and Moderate Income (LMI) Set-Aside Program.
This program provides financial assistance to eligible low- and moderate-income homeowners for a variety of qualifying home repair projects, subject to program requirements and available funding. The goal is to help residents maintain safe, functional, and well-maintained homes while easing the financial burden of costly repairs.
Homeowners who experienced hail damage in 2023 or 2024 and are unable to afford roof repairs are encouraged to apply. The program may also assist with a wide range of other essential improvements, including window and siding replacement, furnace repair or replacement, water heater replacement, plumbing and water line repairs, accessibility ramp installation, door replacement, insulation, sidewalk repairs, radon mitigation, and hazardous tree removal.
Approved projects must have a minimum cost estimate of $1,500, and funding is capped at $12,000 per homeowner. However, Council will review all applications.
Applications are being accepted now through June 1, 2026, and must be submitted to Evansdale City Hall.
